Likisapost.com Leorema 22/01/2025-Concerns regarding the current situation of Escola Tecnico Vocacional Agricola Presidente Nicolau Lobato in Leorema were expressed by the school director.
Rufino Alves de Fatima during an interview with Likisa Post.Com. He stated that the school is facing challenges due to a lack of teachers and learning facilities.
“One of the biggest concerns at ESTV Nicolau Lobato Leorema is the shortage of specialized teachers, particularly for Chemistry, Biology, and agricultural production subjects. We need at least one additional teacher,” he explained.
Additionally, the director held a meeting with parents on January 22, 2025, at ESTV Leorema to discuss the school’s concerns. “Today, we held a meeting with parents to talk about the learning process at the school, internal regulations, and the preparation for launching a new department on February 5, 2025. We invited parents to this meeting, and they expressed their gratitude for the establishment of this new program, which aims to train students in coffee plantation industry knowledge,” he stated.
However, he emphasized the school’s challenges, particularly the insufficient number of teachers and lack of classrooms, chairs, and desks. “Currently, we only have 120 chairs and 120 desks, which is not enough for our students,” he added.
Regarding school facilities, the director mentioned that while they are still manageable, he urged parents to contribute chairs to support students’ learning. “Our school facilities are sufficient for regular activities and practical sessions, but we request parents to contribute chairs. Each student should bring one chair to help sustain the school’s needs over the next month,” he stated.
